DIRECTIONS:

  • Pour the contents of the bag into a pot with 3 cups of (spring or distilled) water.
  • Cover on a LOW simmer for approx. 45 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and let cool to room temperature.
  • Pour through a fine mesh strainer or squeeze through cheesecloth into a bowl.
  • Smash remaining berries to extract more liquid. Discard the leftover herbs.
  • Add about 1 cup of honey, agave nectar or any other sweetener of choice until the syrup has reached your desired taste and consistency. Stir well.
  • Pour liquid into a sealed jar and store in the refrigerator. Keeps up to 3 months when refrigerated properly.
